Banking 2.0: The New Wave of Banking & Finance
WHY
The recession we are passing through is the most complex of the last 50 years. The banking system undergoes every effect of this situation, incapable to react immediately to a contradiction which roots are extremely deep. Banks are in a market which has lower potentials and which is regulated by a new legislative system which oblige to reconfigure and rethink the underpinnings of the balance.
The complex consequent replacing of distributive and administrative processes impacts on a deep crisis of internal values, which amplifies the external reputation. Mass media has - often and wrongly - related this crisis on financial operators.
On the other hand the Banking Direction was unable to communicate effectively and positively with his interlocutors, customers and resources. In this way confusion and pessimism grew up.
Weakened by a vertical decisional system, which implies minor responsibility, disappointed from an incomplete management changing, slowed by new and contradictive ties, banking system has to rethink his role, starting from the bases to innovate.
The work of reconstruction has to involve the human resources.
The work has to be done with new paradigms and new strategies; a strong intervention of rethinking values and motivations is necessary. Without a wide and passionate participation, a clear frame of goals and objectives every development hypothesis will be vain.
MAIN TOPIC
The workshop has the main finality to explore – on one hand – the main problems and – on the other one – to explicit possible solutions. Discussion and insights will address the most valuable experiences and will underline strategies to recover the enterprise knowledge and the creation of social networks based on relationships capable to empower the moral and value competence of human capital. A particular attention will be address to management of intervention of improvement.

WORKSHOP LEADER
Corrado Fois, is expert in banking-finance-insurance. After the University he studies in deep distributive disciplines and organization. His first working experience was at Rai where he worked for telecommunication re-organization, then he were at Gruppo La Rinascente where he follows new initiatives in processes of development area. And networking systems inside the Organizations and Human Direction. Left the group in the middle of 80s he founded the Isso spa which becomes one of the most important society of consulting and services in Italy. The Isso – after years of interesting activities – merges with Watson Wyatt World Wide and becomes a significant branch of international relevance. He has been Human Resources Director of Banco di Sicilia and Central Director of Organization and Human Resources of Banca di Roma. With the creation of Capitalia he became Director of Resources development of the Holding. Nowadays he is a consultant for national and international banks focusing his activities on management, coaching and organization processes. He works with many universities researching new solutions and strategies for organizations. He is author of many articles published on the most know magazine of banking field and of books dedicated to management and creation of new relationships processes inside the enterprise. He also was in the board of advisors of many big italian companies.
